Being multicultural is the most important selection principle to meet the reading needs of the new immigrants. These are based on new immigrants’ needs for information on novels, literature, housekeeping and housework, music, psychology, medicine, and health. Arts, crafts, green landscaping, tourism, history, ethnic culture, recreation, and language learning are also included. #Educational
Educational books are mainly divided into three categories: the first category is humanities that are centered around the theme of “being mediums for exchange, communication, and materials” and providing readers with an understanding of the development of human civilization through books and readable history, as well as understanding the rich contents of global history. The second category is social sciences, which mainly focuses on readers who are willing to learn new knowledge from a variety of sources. In addition to expanding readers’ international outlook, we also hope to help readers have a deeper understanding and opinions on contemporary social fairness and justice, and environmental issues. The third category is science, which uses life-oriented knowledge as an entry point to not only cultivate basic scientific concepts, but also improve people’s awareness of the quality of life.

#Teens
Because the age of teenagers is situated in between children and adults, the reading experiences and levels are also very different. Therefore, the materials selected for teenagers allow them to have reference points and help them make progress, deepen and broaden their reading in terms of their personal interests and abilities. When choosing materials for teenage readers, inclusiveness and openness are required so that they can gain access to different aspects of knowledge. We want to use library materials to enrich peoples’ experiences, entertain the mind, cultivate individuals, help make friends, and help teenagers enjoy reading all kinds of books and immersing themselves in seas of knowledge.
