Provide Video Streaming Services The library has classic and award-winning films from major film studios such as Disney, Fox, and Sony from past years. The library also adds new movies from major studios every month, providing readers with diverse content that is both entertaining and educational! Age-specific Reading Areas Including family, teenagers, seniors, multicultural, local literature, and language learning areas to meet the reading needs of everyone! Convenient Store Borrowing and Return services The convenient stores are branches of the Library as the New Main Library is working with convenient stores in Taoyuan City on a cross-industry collaboration, allowing people to borrow books without having to visit this library. This improves the convenience of borrowing and returning books for the citizens of Taoyuan City! MakerSpace The MakerBase is a space with themes such as 3D printing, laser engraving, and smart robots located in the teenagers area on the 4th floor of the New Main Library. It is planned to be a smart classroom that uses the “Maker” spirit to promote creativity and educate people on new knowledge, host group DIY creation tutorials as the public are invited to experience the latest digital technology. Cross-“reading” Exchange of Art and Literature X Reading The Main Library provides rich art display and knowledge sharing space, planning the imagery of reading corners in each building to provide visual beauty. The Aura Hall on the 1st floor is an advanced lecture hall for premium art education and celebrity lectures. The multi-functional Study Room on the 6th floor can be freely used for age-based reading courses and multi-art and culture exhibitions, making the library a brand-new area for art and cultural activities. A comfortable experience of the Reading Time Area The laid-back and comfortable environment, the sofas and other furniture, and the convenient study space features large ceiling windows that let in the gentle sunlight. The Reading Time Area on the 7th floor of the Main Library fosters inspiration, and allows readers to enjoy life. It will have a variety of new book sharing sessions, celebrity lectures, weekly celebrity events, streaming of in-house reading professionals from independent bookstores, art venues and publishing houses for readers to enjoy a brand-new reading experience in this aesthetic environment. Cloud Reading Online Livestream A mini laboratory for digital knowledge, the Cloud Reading Room on the 7th floor of the Main Library opens up infinite possibilities for digital reading! YouTube streamer, online storyteller, or an Internet radio podcast hosts can use online book clubs, celebrity book recommendations, author sharing sessions, discussion on hot topics, talks about social trends and book reviews to share the beauty of reading, listening, and learning online and be the first people to step into the new digital world! An Interactive Multimedia Experience The interactive experience design takes book literature and the local features of Taoyuan into rich amounts of multimedia content, which allows the public to feel closer to the library, obtain knowledge and information from it, encourage their explorative curiosity to explore and become adventurers in the realm of books. |

The name “Soft Light Room” won the popular vote. A soft light shimmering through a tree would symbolize knowledge being shared and disseminated.
