“Hot Spas- Display of Collections” is being held from November 1 to December 30 on the 4th floor at the Library of Cultural Affairs Bureau where all the books regarding the sightseeing spots of hot spring around Taiwan and Japan, hotels, delicacies, healthcare treatments and the further readings are being exhibited. Everyone is welcome to come and loan the books for spending the season of hot spring in the damp and cold weather of fall and winter.
Zhang Zhuang-Mou, the Director-general of Cultural Affairs Bureau showed that the best way of using hot spring would be taking a bath/spa, which would also be one of the best ways of health care. Other than that, it also has the functions of electricity generation, growing vegetables and fruit as well as aquaculture, etc. Please visit our exhibition if you would like to further study in other functions of the hot spring. You will learn the types and functions of hot spring spas by reading the books and acquire the knowledge of taking hot spring bath safely and correctly for you to better enjoy it!
There are four themes in total of 62 books displayed in the exhibition: 1. Hot spring houses in Taiwan; 2. Delicacies at hot spring house in Taiwan; 3. The grand view of Nippon hot springs; 4. Further readings. Books exhibited include Hot Spring Journeys: 47 Delicate Spa Resort Hotels Around the World wrote by Xu Ming-Wei; Winter Spa Trip of Happiness edited by Chen Guan-Qian; The Healthcare of Hot Spring Bath wrote by Zheng Hui-Jing; Creative Guideline of Japanese Healing Spa wrote by Matsuda Tadanori; Hot Springs in Taiwan wrote by Song Sheng-Rong and Liu Jia-Mei, etc.
